Munnar

Munnar is the queen of hill stations. Munnar is right at the confluence of three mountains streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathannii and Kundala. This hill station, 1600m above sea level was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Govt. in South India. Sprawling tea Plantations, spice gardens, shimmering lakes, free-roaming wildlife, winding leaves, trekking and holiday facilities make the Munnar experience unique and unforgettable. Among the exotic flora found in the forests is Neelakurinji. This flower bathes these hills once in ever twelve years. Munnar also has the highest peak in south India, Anamudi which situates 2695 m above sea level. In Rajamala, Nilagiri Tahr is ready to welcome you. Half of the entire population of these gentle species are found here. Anayirankal, a lush green carpet of tea plantations, Top Station - the highest spot on the Munnar - Kodaikkanal road, Mattupetty Lake - a calm spot for picnics and boating, Lockheart Gap -ideal for adventure and trekking, Marayoor - famous for its New Stone Age ralics. Peerumed
It is a lovely hill station in Idukki district with its sprawling gardens of tea, coffee and cardomom. It is a hilly terrain for adventure tourism and trekking. The main attraction here is Thrissankul hill - a charming landscape. The pleasant climate makes this an ideal place for long walks. This hill also offers a breathtaking view of the sunrise and sunset. Pattumala here is truly charming in its natural beauty. The lofty peaks, the little streams and the green expanse of the tea plantations give the hills an ethereal beauty.
Thekkady
The tropical evergreen forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India. The Periyar wild life sanctuary is situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake at Thekkady. Below the thick green forest and vast grass lands, one can see herds of elephants, sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion -tailored monkeys and Nilgiri langurs roam here and there freely.
Vagamon
It is one of the finest eco tourism places in Kerala. Amidst grassy hills, velvet lawns and the cool mountain air is Vagamon. This is a haven of tranquility. The chain of three hills - Thangal hills, Murugan Hill and Kurisumala - is a mark of religious harmony and one could take a trek across the chain of three hills.
Nelliyampathy
This is 75 Km away from Palakkad in the Northern Kerala. At least ten hair pin bends have to be covered on the Ghat road to reach here. This exotic hill country is the delight of trekkers and adventure lovers. The Paramtrikulam wildlife sanctuary close to this hills is a shelter for the largest population of Bison. The Malampuzha garden with its breathtaking views and elegant Jayawere gardens are a feast for the eyes.
Wayanad
It is one of the districts in Kerala. Wayanad is known for its picturesque mist-clad hill stations, sprawling spice plantations, luxuriant forests and rich cultural traditions. The natural Pookoot Lake and Thusharagiri hills are fascinating places in Wayanad. This is a natural freshwater lake surrounded by evergreen forest and rolling hills. The famous Edakkal caves offer a glimpse into intriguing Stone Age paintings and unseriptions.
