JJK GURUKULAM is located at a vantage point 8 km north-east of Thiruvananthapuram. The aim of the Gurukulam is to promote and preserve the age-old Indian way of life based on vedic heritage and the vision that sustains it.
The Gurukulam works under auspices of Acharya Sabha whichhas initiated an All India Movement of Seva (AIM of Seva), to bridge the gap between the main stream society and the people living in the remote areas, through a program of care in the areas of self-sufficiency, health, education, cultural validation etc.
Aim of Seva has taken up the issue of protecting children of less-privileged and dysfunctional families by launching a series of Gurukulams all over India. It gives them an opportunity to lead normal lives.
JJK Gurukulam is one of its kind run by its Trivandrum Chapter under the guidance of Swami Tattvarupananda Saraswati, a disciple of H.H .Swami Dayananda Saraswati.
Why should we help a child?
When a child is denied his basic needs of shelter, clothes, food and his right for education on cannot but listen to his silent cry for help. ‘Gurukulams’ for children stand to address this issue of protecting their rights. Taking care of children from less-privileged families often having lost either father or mother or both, we house counsel, tech values and send them to schools to enable them to lead normal lives. Our world has become an open road where one cannot afford to be insulated. We have to lend a helping hand wherever help is required. ‘Gurukulams’ are supporting hubs to protect the cause of the denied rights of our children. Here is an opportunity for every one of us to partake in this social venture.
An appeal
Your support in cash and king is the only source to sustain these ‘Gurukulams’. We appeal to you to sponsor a child. Let you support be a defining moment of a child’s life and a self-fulfilling event of you life.
Our goal is to find enough sponsors for all the 365 days of the year to run this Gurukulams. You can contribute towards one day’s Bhiksha with a donation of Rs:1001/- for any days of you choice. This contribution helps us to cover a part of that day’s operating expenses including meals, utilities and maintenance.
Donations can be made by individuals, firms, companies etc. and are exempt from income tax under section 80(G) of Income Tax Act.
We value you donations and your active participation in our various programs. We conduct regular classes in Yoga, Sanskrit, Upanishads & Bhagavad Gita.
